Pet Therapy
Animal assisted (pet) therapy benefits people of all ages by: improving fine motor skills and balance; increasing focus and attention; increasing self-esteem and ability to care for oneself; reducing anxiety, grief and isolation; reducing blood pressure, depression, and risk of heart attack or stroke. If you and your dog or cat loves people, and you have time to volunteer, please consider becoming a therapy team member.
Pet Rescue
We have saved over 600 cats / kittens and 10 dogs since January 2020. Most of our cat and kitten rescue has come from Berks and Lancaster counties. We have cats at the habitats at Petco in Exeter, and at PetSmart in Temple. Most of our adoptable pets are in foster care prior to being adopted, and we always are seeking foster homes for both cats and dogs.
Donations
Donations are needed to help us help others. We are thrilled and grateful to all of the people who have supported us – our “Pawsitive Public”. We are 100% volunteer, and all funds received support our therapy and rescue services. Pet therapy services are free to the organizations we visit, however there are fixed costs associated with having volunteer pet therapy teams – e.g. insurance, ID badges.
